http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=36977

Features have been locked down and are in closed beta.

Advertised new features:

Runway plates useable in FMB
UI and game screens optimized for narrow screen (widescreen rotated 90*)
Improved smoke and fire effects
Ambient light around fires
Different bomb effects and craters based on contact or delayed fuses
Spawning from hangars
Guidance Arrows pointing taxiway to correct runway
New belly landing effects (skidmarks, dust and/or sparks) - sparks can set leaking fuel alight.
Planes taxiing on snow leave wheel/ski marks
Padlock enabled for ships
Fragmentation bomb loadouts added for several U.S. planes
Improved Landing gear damage (failure to lock, gear can be manually lowered, brakes don't work, gear struts weakened, individual landing gears can lower and indicator lights reflect this. Failure to lock or jamming can sometimes be corrected using positive G maneuvers).
Plane with dead pilot can still fly if co-pilot is alive
Manually-operated bomb bay doors must be opened before bombs can be released.
Mixture joystick axis added
Flight formations can be set in FMB and changed at each waypoint.

And, lots of Easter Eggs

* There appear to be new formations for planes.
* New objects - including human figures, bomb craters and Mediterranean-looking buildings.
* Flyable DB-3
* Flyable SB-2
* Slightly changed "no cockpit view" instruments
* Possibly P-51 with slightly revised 3d model?
* Fires can be started spontaneously in planes somehow (in FMB)?
* Improved P-51 cockpit?
* Some self-shadowing (at least for fire effects)
* New 3D model or some change or additions to Bf-110 (at 1:40 on the tape)?
* Possibly improved DB-3, SB-2 and IL-2 models?
* Changes to Pe-2, Mosquito, Ju-88 and Fw-190A models?
* More complex tree shadows and plane shadow models?
* Change to R-Z Natacha? (at 4:50)
* Improved SBD-3 cockpit?
* Maybe changes to U.S. Fleet carrier model?
* Improved Fw-190 cockpit?
* New landing gear controls
* Killed crew models for B-25D (and other planes)?

* Slight changes to UI in FMB to make it easier to work with - like objects being given real names instead of just numbers.

http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?p=498981#post498981

So far we are now on Beta#3 (after two Alphas) and this one is half open - closed but with invited extern Beta testers, which currently collect a lot new findings and bring us more bux fix work. More eyes do see more.

Nothing new is there to be added to 4.12, so we don't have anything to show really. Some of us are already working for 4.13 content.

Readme

http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=ForumsPro&file=viewtopic&t=16477

Dear IL-2 fans,

as usual, we present the Readme file for the next patch in advance, so you may get familiar with the upcoming fixes / features. The patch will also include a much more detailed features guide.

Please understand, that we can not name a definite release date by now. We are closing in for the final run anyway.

Also note, that there might be small differences to the Readme file at the final release, but main features will for sure stay the same.

Thank you!

Team Daidalos
